As part of my training schedule I had to jog for 13.1 miles today which is a half marathon. Fortunately the Maidstone Half Marathon starts and finishes just down the road from me, so I followed that course.
It was a slow training run and further than I had ever been before, so a challenge. It worked out really well though as I took it easy and had no problem handling the distance. I covered it in 2:01:32, so feel confident in my proper 1/2 marathon race on 2ns September I can go sub 2:00. Really looking forward to that now!
It has totally taken it out of me though - I am physically exhausted but should recover soon as I have a 5 mile threshold run tomorrow...
I've come to think how much weight can I loose if I can do what you are doing? I'm envy of you!

Marathons are really very good for the physical work out process and also good fr a emotional charge up.
